2019-20 NCAA Football (Week 7)

Games I saw some of:

(1) Alabama 47-28 (24) Texas A&M
A&M moved the ball okay on Bama but they could not get a stop on defense to save their lives. So is Bama's defense suspect or is the offense so dominant that they just take weeks off? I dunno but that offense is pretty amazing. A&M has had the toughest schedule in the world this season and they don't deserve to have 3 losses now. Alabama is still good.

(6) Oklahoma 34-27 (11) Texas
Oklahoma (much like Alabama) has such a good offense that I wonder about their defense, but today that defense came to play and, yeah, they gave up 27 points but they controlled the game throughout and I'm all in on OU now. Texas looked good and still came up short (not unlike their performance against LSU earlier) and they're still gonna do well in the Big 12 and go to a fancy bowl. They're in the conversation again with Oklahoma and that's something that had gone away for a while, great to see a genuine rivalry again.

Southern Cal 27-30 (9) Notre Dame
I didn't watch much of this but from what I saw Notre Dame was in full control even though USC moved the ball pretty well. Seeing that this score was closer than I thought is...somehow exactly what I expected.

Top 25
Handled their business
(1) Alabama, (2) Clemson, (5) Louisiana State, (6) Oklahoma, (8) Wisconsin, (9) Notre Dame, (10) Penn State, (13) Oregon, (14) Boise State, (15) Utah, (16) Michigan, (18) Arizona State, (22) Baylor, (25) Cincinnati

Bad beat
(7) Florida. Going to LSU is not easy for anyone, tough loss for a Florida squad that had already gone from overrated to underrated in the span of 4 weeks. If they can beat Georgia, they're still in the conversation.
(11) Texas. I've watched them lose twice this season...and walked away very impressed with them anyway both times. Weird, I still think they're really good.
(17) Iowa. Played hard, came up short, good effort. Two tough L's in the last two weeks for the Hawkeyes.
(24) Texas A&M. Game effort but they just could not stop the Bama attack.

Not so good
(3) Georgia. Oh, UGA, how could you let this happen? Double OT? Tons of chances to pull this game out--a game that really shouldn't have been close anyway--and still seemed to go out of their way to gack plays late. Bad, bad, bad L for the Bulldogs. If they beat Florida, Auburn and Alabama they could still get back into it...yeah, I don't see that happening.
(19) Wake Forest. Giving up 62 points in a conference game is not a good look for a top 20 team. (Psst...Wake Forest is not a top 20 team)
(20) Virginia. Ouch! I thought in last week's L to Notre Dame Virginia looked pretty good, like a team that would pile up some W's this fall. Not so much. Got thumped in Miami by the Hurricanes (wow, remember them?). Yeah, a road loss to a conference rival, maybe I'm being too hard, but I expected them to take this.
(23) Memphis. Thought the Tigers would pull this out at Temple but I guess not.

Next week's interesting matchups:
(12) Oregon @ (25) Washington (Oregon is legit good but a road conference game is always tricky)
(17) Arizona State @ (13) Utah (two PAC-12 games this week?)
(16) Michigan @ (7) Penn State (I think the Nittany Lions are better, we'll see)
