2021-22 NFL (Week 11)

Games I saw (some of):

Packers 31-34 Vikings

Fun game, felt like the Packers were gonna steal it but the Vikings were able to steal it back. The Vikings can hang with anyone and while they tend to lose, against a division opponent, they know what they're dealing with--even if its the best team in the NFC. The Packers are probably the best team but they're not unbeatable, as the Vikings just showed. Back and forth action, good stuff.

Bengals 32-13 Raiders

The Raiders are done, man. Nothing has gone their way for the last month or so and the off-field turmoil has crushed this team. They play hard but nothing about this team looks good right now. The Bengals are still a rambling wreck of a team but when they get it going, they can definitely score points. I think the Bengals are legit and are seriously in the playoff hunt.

Cowboys 9-19 Chiefs

Weird sludgefest of a game rather than the offensive fireworks show we thought we'd get. Instead both defensive lines kinda dominated the action, neither QB could get much going. The Chiefs had a few more big plays and that made the difference. The Cowboys are good, they just had a bad day. The Chiefs are still good, just not as obviously wildly better than everyone else the way they have been lately.

Steelers 37-41 Chargers

Weird game. The Chargers pounded the Steeler defense like Rocky working a hunk of meat for the first 3 quarters, then just stopped playing, started making dumb mistakes (penalty on the punt leads to a block punt followed almost immediately by a tip drill interception) that kept the Steelers in the game--though there was never a single second when they felt like the better team. I'm still out on the Steelers, still in on the Chargers (but they need to stay vigilant about closing out games).

The rest of the slate:

Patriots 25-0 Falcons. Yup. Pats are rolling, Falcons are not.

Colts 41-15 Bills. Bills are falling asleep right as they're heading into the tough part of their schedule and they're not good enough to win that way. The Colts seem like a solid team that's gonna play their game and sometimes that'll win (and they can run the ball like nobody's business).

Ravens 16-13 Bears. The Bears are scrappy but not any good. The Ravens are good but sloppy, they're eking by but that's not gonna be good enough in the long run.

Lions 10-13 Browns. The Browns are spinning their wheels lately but still good enough to get by the Lions. The Lions...have helmets and cool shoes.

Texans 22-13 Titans. The Titans let an easy one get away, they'll regret this. The Texans just took a step away from the #1 pick...so...bad day.

Dolphins 24-17 Jets. The Dolphins are getting better but I'm still dubious. The Jets are the Jets.

Saints 29-40 Eagles. I like the Eagles, man, they've been getting better throughout and they're still to win some games, they can be dangerous for the next 6 weeks or so. The Saints are just kinda limping along, still time to get it going (but I don't see it).

WTF 27-21 Panthers. I dunno, the WTF Marons play hard and when the Panthers can't put together a complete game, they lose.

Niners 30-10 Jags. The Niners have their moments, this was one of them (they're running the ball really well right now). The Jags are the Jags: they're no better or worse than they were in Week 1, right?

Cards 23-13 Seahawks. NFC West is all about the road team. The Seahawks are falling apart.

Giants 10-30 Bucs. The Giants kinda suck. The Bucs showed up on Monday night and had fun.
